Ward Eight

The Ward Eight combines rye whiskey and Boston - a match made in cocktail heaven, where the spirits flow like the Charles River.

The Ward Eight cocktail is named after a political district in Boston, Massachusetts… supposedly. It is believed to have been created in 1898 to honor the election of Martin M. Lomasney, a politician who represented the Eighth Ward in the Massachusetts State Legislature.

The cocktail typically contains rye whiskey, lemon juice, orange juice, and grenadine syrup, and it has since become a classic of the American cocktail canon.
